No grinding necessary for a flush fit- Our adapter plates have a necessary opening milled out of the center of the plate to clear the hump on the backside of your SBC/BBC motor mounts. 4 adjustable positions- These are the 4 most desirable positions to accommodate the widest variety of headers, oil pans, steering boxes, etc... 1st position: places the LSX engine in the stock small/big block location. 2nd position: places your LSX engine forward 7/16 from the original SBC/BBC location. 3rd position: places your LSX engine forward 1 3/4 from the original SBC/BBC location. 4th position: places your LSX engine forward 2 1/4 from the original SBC/BBC location.   These plates will not work with low mount AC compressors.
